This project was a personal exploration of motion design within music streaming interfaces. Inspired by Apple Music’s animated album covers, I set out to create an animated version of We’re All Alone In This Together by Dave, one of my favorite albums, which originally lacks this feature.

Process
I began by analyzing existing animated album covers on Apple Music to understand their motion style and visual effects. Using this insight, I sketched potential animation concepts that would complement the album’s aesthetic. I then brought these ideas to life using motion design tools, ensuring a balance between subtle movement and engaging visuals.

Challenges
The main challenge was maintaining the essence of the original cover while enhancing it with movement. Striking the right balance between fluidity and subtlety required iteration and refinement. Additionally, ensuring the animation felt cohesive within Apple Music’s interface was a key consideration.
Outcome
The final result is a reimagined, animated version of We’re All Alone In This Together, blending motion with emotion to enhance the album’s visual storytelling. This project allowed me to experiment with animation in a UI/UX context, refining my skills in digital interaction and visual design.
